Languages
At The Volcanes Community School, our language programs strengthen Spanish literacy and provide English instruction for students and adults, helping learners of all ages build the communication skills they need to succeed. By supporting both remedial Spanish and English language acquisition, we empower our community with tools for academic, professional, and personal growth.
Computer Skills
Our Computer Literacy Program introduces students to essential digital skills, often through their very first experience using a computer. From typing and basic navigation to creating documents and conducting research, students gain the tools they need to succeed academically and prepare for future career opportunities.
Music
Our outstanding music program nurtures creativity, discipline, and self-expression by providing students with high-quality instruction in music theory, instrumental performance, and ensemble collaboration. Through our symphonic orchestra, students experience the joy of making music together while developing confidence, teamwork, and a deep appreciation for the transformative power of the arts.
Adult Learning
Our adult education classes provide community members with the opportunity to strengthen their literacy, English language, and foundational academic skills in a supportive and welcoming environment. We also offer a GED preparation program for adults who were unable to complete high school, helping them earn the equivalent of a high school diploma and open doors to higher education and better employment opportunities.
Scholarships
Designed for diligent students who need extra support to continue their education, our scholarships open doors to higher learning and a brighter future.
Mentorship & Volunteers
Graduates of Volcanes grade school give back as mentors to students in grades 1–6, offering guidance, hope, and inspiration. Young volunteers also support our programs, helping create a caring, community-centered environment.
Community Center
A welcoming space for the entire Volcanes colonia to host events, celebrations and gatherings.
